Looking backwards over the years, I found menopasual women to be the best kind. Ebb tide. Right now I'm listening to the satiny voice of my all time favorite Dinah Shore singing, "What are you doing the rest of your life?" Her wave has left but the melody lingers. A day at the beach will bring some thoughts of the past and the present as I remember the waves that are washing up on shores that were and will never be for me again. The sound of the incoming swells reminds me of some long lonely and lovely beaches like along the 90 Mile Beach in New Zealand when I was on the wheel and others along Australia's sunny Gold Coast during the big war. The glaring white sands were soft like sifted flour when in later years we came ashore. I think that those natural resources will take the Kiwis' economy at least out of the funk so their dollar will buy them a ticket to Disney Land. Memorial Day was when we always dressed up and went down to the graveyards to pay our respects to the those who lived in our past. I remember but we don't do that any more having moved far away from the Pacific beaches of our youth. My best wishes for everyone's health including your select investments on this Memorial Day.
