It doesn't mean the commercials are wrong... the futures markets were created for the commercials to hedge their cash crop against future down swings in prices... therefore, to sell the futures, which are at a premium to cash, they automatically lock in their price no matter what happens to the actual market price... in this way, the commercials are always right as long as they insured themselves against a catastrophic sell off... speculators merely provide the liquidity for the commercials.....
