Gary -- imo this is not a poor comparison... ...i read stuff on the internet all the time and/or get emails touting stocks that indicate a short sqeeze is in play. folks who believe stocks are underprice buy them folks who believe stocks are overpriced short them folks who think they can make a buck buy buying a stock just to put the squeeze on shorts can and do buy them for no other reason. did you ever watch a stock like HAND when it was being heavily shorted by the A@P crew? the stock would have days when it shot up several points...only to drift back down...caused by nothing more than short covering and traders who were riding the covering waves. Lazarus who is leaving this thread now to enjoy the weekend
