Scott, Dan thanks for links. I did chart compare on oih components and concluded that oih volatility caused somewhat by hal and to lesser degree by hc. Still does not explain premiums on an index type product. Compare to xle the energy spdr.

As you might suspect the xle options have less rich premiums. I could not find info on AMEX site as to definition of sector components. A broad sector with many components would have low volatility but oih with 18 components should also be less than the individual stocks. Tiz a mystery.
