lol..scuse me?....Look I could point to historical examples that would blow away ANY type of bearish view towards the market. Look...just by studying any type of behavior from some of the most successful traders in the world , one will come to the conclusion that one should be "contrarian" in the face of the average joe investor or media hype. Time and time again it has been proven throughout the history of the market. What you and others on this board who apparently are long term investors or "divestors"<<gg> represent is the overall bearish sentiment today of the average market investor and are really just following the general mainstream view. Look and listen around everywhere. People are scared shitless to invest in this market for a number of reasons....its the reason why the market is behaving the way it is now. And then you and the majority of the posters here claim to be the "in-the-know, informed investor?? But in reality you are just following the trend..the masses...just like the clueless who were buying at the top of the market in 2000. You have become those ones who you so cleverly cajole and feel sorry for. One of the best examples is that of a report I saw on NBC network news one night about a guy who had lost everything in the stock market and he was swearing off ever buying stocks again. He then pointed out how , in contrast, his house had doubled in value in the past years and he felt like an idiot for not investing more in real estate. SO what is he doing now??...Take a wild guess..hes forgetting ever investing in the stock market and decided to buy and sell houses for income. Its painful to see a guy like that who thinks now he has found the answer when in reality its too late. By the time he realizes a good investment and acts upon it...its too late. This is the mentality of the average joe who so desperately wants to find the correct path to riches. I can't tell you how many times I hear friends swear off ever investing in the stock market. Just like we all heard the examples of the local shoe shine boy giving stock tips in those crazy bull market days, it has turned the other way. I have even talked to a buddy who was telling me about an elderly woman in his local investment club convinced everyone should start shorting the market. I couldn't stop laughing. Certainly alot more people in the general public are aware of shorting nowadays. You see this kind of mentality just makes me laugh and wonder.

All in all...noone really knows where the market will go and of course I won't pick a bias long or short, as long as I'm on that train when it leaves. Alot of the posters on this board arrogantly claim they have the answers. To me, they are of the same characters or analysts who were putting out buy recommendations at the top of the market and yelling sell at the bottom. They are just followers in my opinion.

But then....I'm just a trader..what do I care?? <<gg>>
