I did go to Radio Shack and you were right... they had everything I needed, thanks for the great suggestion...<g> What a sound!!! Here's what I did:

First, I picked up a splitter for the back of the PC so I can leave the smaller speakers on for normal PC use... then I got a nice long cable that plugs into the splitter at one end and has two RCA stereo fittings on the other... I also got two 1/4 inch adapters so I was able to plug the RCA fittings into the 1/4 inch adapters and plug them into my Peavey XRD 680S amplifier I use for my room sound system... now, I have the sound coming out of my two big Electro Vox stage speakers and I feel like I'm at a live concert... this sure beats the dinky little speakers I got with the PC.....

Many, many thanks to everyone for their great ideas and suggestions.....<g> what a great thread!!!

GZ a happy camper
