If anyone is interested in calculating die sizes for low tech chips....see if an equivalent technology is made by NSM and shipped in their micro package "MICROSMD" package. national.com That gives you an upside value of the die size. From that info you can calculate approximate manufacturing costs and then from pricing info the approximate margin. Why anyone even bothers investing in hi tech trash like DRAM intrigues me no end.
