Re: "To the dismay of liberal Democrats the tax cut is working to stimulate the economy just like Bush's team predicted."

What planet do you live on? In case you haven't checked the S&P 500 recently, the economy remains in a deep funk. Joe Investor has little confidence in GWB to get the economy moving forward again. Proof is in the pudding. The sputtering Dow is barely above four figures.

Re: "The last thing the nation needs right now is more tax dollars going from individual Americans to the federal government."

"Fiscal restraint" is an obscene term for the cut-taxes-and-spend Republicans in D.C. Therein lies the main problem. If you wanna cut taxes, you gotta cut spending. This administration, unfortunately, has decided to embrace the concept of running up huge budget deficits, a practice initiated by Reagan and Bush Sr.

In other words, "Let's send billions of dollars to special interests, the richest of the rich and to defense contractors and let our children and grandchildren figure out how to pay for it."
