The wise ones can intellectualize all they want to about the unimportance of gold. They need to keep in mind that this is an "irrational" international phenomenon, driven by 5000 year old instincts. There may not be an American intellectual place for gold, but these folks should try and explain it to the Japanese, Chinese, Indians, oil sheiks, etc. By the time they figure it out and change their tune, I'll be getting ready to sell to them...(I hope)
