Excellent point. Funny you mention that because while reading the Sunday paper this morning I came across an astonishing bit of information (at least to me it is).

Story on the lead business page of the Sunday Cincinnati Enquirer said:

"In 2001, Sears, Roebuck & Co. made $1.53 billion in operating income from its credit operations, compared to $901 million from its store sales."

Maybe I'm just naive about such, but those figures just jumped out at me.

I have always used my credit cards simply for convenience, and pay them off every month. Obviously, I'm in the minority on this one.
