Hi Marie,

I take it you don't need to read Ms. Rowley's indictment of her SSA? Or did you missed that part? <g>

Seriously, the release of the Rowley letter marks an important turning point into the understanding of the events leading up to 9/11. I'm 90% convinced right now of government complicity in terrorizing the citizens of the US. The gross negligence of the intelligence agencies, combined with the nearly irrefutable evidence that the subsequent anthrax attacks were the act of someone associated with the Army operations at Ft. Detrick is beginning to really add up to some terrible news for those of us who prefer democracy and an open society.

Re: it's way to remote an assignment to think that anyone will read this letter seriously!

I don't expect the average American to do so. However, I am convinced that, unless they are silenced, Richard Shelby, Charles Grassley and a host of Democratic Senators and Congressmen will be spending a lot of staff time investigating the allegations that Ms. Rowley presents.

I admire your ability to be so, well, perky in the face of some of the most serious allegations raised about government criminality since the Nixon Watergate investigation. I believe that Ms. Rowley's letter may well be the first of many "smoking guns" leading to the downfall of the Bush Administration. I'm perplexed that you regard this no more seriously than that it's the rantings of a dismissable low level and parochial peon.

Nice try, but I'm certain you'll be proven wrong in the months ahead. I recall the astonishing level of denial I saw from Republican business types when I first started to raise Heck about Enron and the power marketers in February, 2001. Most dismissed me as a troublemaker who was just out of touch. Turns out that I was merely more observant and honest than they were. They don't contribute much at SI any longer. Too embarrassing to see themselves proven to be either completely unethical and morally bankrupt, or totally blinded by the right. To steal a line.

Best of luck, Ray
