Joe, The YAHOO! Share-Related Items information for SYQT (42.6M shares outstanding as of July 3) is not correct according to Syquest's own press releases:

Two months earlier on May 8th, Syquest issued a press release where they stated, "Additionally, as of May 8, 1997, SyQuest had 43.5 million shares of common stock issued and outstanding. Assuming conversion of all preferred stock, exercise of existing warrants, and fulfillment of other existing commitments, the company has total stock obligations of 114.9 million common shares."

In another press release dated May 27, 1997, Syquest said, "...it has converted an additional $2.8 million of vendor indebtedness owed to two vendors into common stock..."

So that's about 45 million shares outstanding we know about for certain, even if none of the other 70 million obligated shares have been converted or excersised.

VVUS: I thought you had made the story up until a I checked and received a quote back. Hmmmm, VVUS, now I don't know what to think...

Well not knowing the in and outs, it was a hard decision, but I think you should go long: VVUS could shoot straight up or it could slide down a hole, but regardless of the outcome, I expect you would really enjoy those deep in the money calls. ;)

Regards - Dale
