Looks to me like the $30K is compensation for the privation the families will endure, having their homes and all their possessions destroyed, and being put out in the street.

There is pressure on these individuals to commit the crime, but in the end, they are responsible for their own actions.

Punishing their families is inhumane. It is outrageous. It is barbaric. It is vile.

I gather that I am the only one on the thread who thinks this.

I don't think I'll post here any more.

You all make me quite ill.
