I have heard that there is some type of convertible issue that is driving down the stock price. One of those "death spirals" that allow the stock to be shorted by the holders of the debt. They can short it down and end up with control of the company. That could have been the reason for the reverse split too. In order to have enough authorized shares to cover the conversion of the debt, the company needed to do the R/S.
This stock could be a great short even now.
