"Are you reading this MSI? Have you noticed how each time I've tried to diffuse the nastiness and stick to the issue? "

The issues between you seem to be: (1)Clinton, his current relevance, or not, and if relevant, various deeds and misdeeds, (2)Bush deeds and misdeeds, since it's assumed by all that Bush is relevant. Also (3) sticking to the issue, and (4) nastiness.

Without going into the merits of either position, I'd say you are both describing them as well as can be respectively expected, even at the expense of occasional personalized invective.

FWIW, that's a lot better than most with such dissimilar positions, who approach saturation with personalized insults, devoid of any content whatsoever.

So, I say party on, dudes! reduce invective if you can, but keep trying to analyze positions. We need it.

IMO, our overriding concern is that our current political situation is untenable -- if we dont' resolve the spectrum between the poles you two represent, we'll have an impeachment or a revolution pretty soon ...
