What question? I thought what might have been a questions was rhetorical as the sentence did not end with a question market. Can I logically object to GLDR's plan? I don't understand how so many can continue to stand by theory that diluting higher grade LC with lower grade Brisas makes sense. Who else but GLDR stands behind such a claim? Their banker? No? Do they have a banker for this plan if it's so good? No? Why not?

"Actually I believe Las Cristinas can stand on it's own - at the right price of gold.."

What? If you are talking about Placer's position from about the time they wrote off LC, they never retracted their own press releases showing an average cash cost for Las Cristinas at $155 per ounce (as late as Feb. '99). Further, they had their third ribbon cutting ceremony when POG was about $280, the same price at which they later said LC was uneconomic. It never was uneconomic, but Placer needed to save face and the legal consequences for pursuing a property with unresolved title problems.

"Despite your claim as to Vannessa's opinion (which I have never seen - please supply a URL or press release to back up your assertion)"

BTW, where have you been in not knowing of Vannessa's plan?

"At current gold prices (US$260-$275), Vannessa has proposed a smaller-scale project aimed at mining the higher-grade, near-surface materials. Given that Las Cristinas has all necessary permits issued, and subject to its Board approval, Vannessa and Minca will proceed with construction of a 7,500 tonne-per-day plant with projected annual production of 100,000 ounces at an estimated cash cost of US$150 per ounce." vannessaventures.com

Now that I've done your research for you on that subject, why don't you tell us at what POG you think Las Cristinas can stand on it's own, or Brisas for that matter, understanding, of course, that there will very probably be only one mega mill for the entire region and that, most likely, will belong to the operator of Las Cristinas?

Oh, and "please supply a URL or press release to back up your assertion."
