If you want a safer way to play LVLT, look at the bonds now priced in the high 40's with an 11% coupon, and seniority over the stock if LVLT ever does face a BK threat. The total return in interest and capital gains through maturity in 2008 is considerable. Still a spec play, but a somewhat more protected way to speculate.
