Dear Raymond: For the most part, I think people who work in the Govt. especially at the higher eschelons are honest, hardworking people. However, our Govt is big, ungainly and awkward. So many are concerned with political "CORRECTNESS" rather then facts. So many layers of Buraucracy to get through for good information to get to where its got to be. I very seriously doubt ANYONE had anything KNOWINGLY to do with our 9/11 catastrophy but I would agree, good likelyhood it could have been avoided. I am hopeful we have learned the hard way and will streamline the FBI and CIA allowing info from field offices a better chance to get to the top. But, to think Bush and his team knew ANYTHING at the time is really not reasonable, I actually have heard the people who wrote the memo STATE they knew it didnt get into the report. jdn
