The bureacratic phrase "competent authority" masks the fact that they have failed, that's why I referred to your ironic use of it. I'm surprised you failed to see the irony. "expressions of support" is unclear. You are talking about electoral support, is all. Just votes. "All wars are government wars". Obviously not. We are a government, fighting non-government foes. "We are in the age of mechanized high tech warfare". Obviously now, when box-cutters and dirty nukes can be cobbled together by individuals. That's war, and it's not high tech. "maintain morale", what does that mean? So far, it means only votes in the upcoming election, right? "fodder for the Administration's enemies" Who are the Administration's enemies?
