Clearly, you need to go back to school, and learn that if a cache line is not already in an ownership state, then the write needs to do a read for ownership, first. What I endorse from the Ace's message isn't the exact correctness of the details, but that they can convey a message to their inexperienced readers that is still able to cover the subject. Your response already indicates to me that you don't quite "understand" the concept here, but you are perfectly willing to start a fight over it. I think you need to get over your power trip, or at least take an anger management class. wbmw
