Sir, I don't spend much time studying FNM. My serious investments in real estate have little to do with what that company is doing internally to manage its money. I suggested YOU look a little deeper in FNM by calling the company itself. It seems to me that you could start there, if wanting to learn a bit more, especially if you are long or short the stock. I'm not in either of those categories.

And by the way, if you haven't noticed, "laying off bank loans to the general public to spread the risk" (your words) is known in the stock world as securitizing risk. It happens all the time, in many different areas, not just FNM. The people who invest in the securitization presumably know the risk.
