Stunning observations, Mad Monk.
Mr Hickey is to be congratulated. His answers to Ms. Welling are convincing, and he shows a thorough knowledge of many aspects of the y2k issue. But since he apparently runs an investment newsletter, I have to give him an "F" for his investment conclusions, despite all his homework. Looking for "value plays" in the y2k arena is missing the point altogether.

SSW - "the attraction here is it has a lot of cash". Stunning, simply stunning. How does someone who has grasped the full extent of y2k come to such a conclusion? (I liked this too:
"It's not a moonshot pure-play tools business. But if you want to own a y2k stock, and you want participate in a chicken's way, you can do it in Sterling, where the valuation isn't too high.")

"My suggestion to individuals is that the place to be, if you're a value investor and believe we will get back to that kind of market again, is in cash". A masterpiece, where do I subscribe?

Cappucino's on me.
