I'm certainly willing to listen to any evidence to the contrary.
I keep looking for evidence that Junior has any concept of what he is talking about, and don't see it, day after day. I've been in discussions and presentations by a lot of people, business, political and otherwise, and have had to make sure I knew who knew what they were talking about, and who didn't. I have to still assume a group behind him is keeping things working, making appointments, fulfilling duties, etc.
Bush senior was in the WH the morning of the 911 attack, and many times prior, so he's a good candidate for one of these people. His comments prior to Junior running support that, "his views on issues? no problem, we have experts for that"
What you mean by "challenged to hard", I guess is "too hard", and no, I prefer the hardest challenges that can be mustered, those with the most concise thought and logic. I do not mind questioning my assumptions, and think the primary issue here isn't speculation or theory, but getting at the facts, and the underlying assumptions we use in our language of discussion.
The primary assumption of concern is that we need to have a fully militarized country, that there is no other course of action, neigher diplomacy nor change in US foreign actions will reduce the threat.
Once we make that assumption we're off to the races, and it will be a long and bloody road, unparalleled. |
