VP4 Now Available on Broad Range of TI Digital Signal Processors
NEW YORK, May 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- On2 Technologies Inc., The Duck Corporation (Amex: ONT - News), the industry leader in compression technology, today announced their VP4 video compression technology has successfully completed compliance testing for inclusion onto the TMS320C62x(TM) and TMS320C64x(TM) digital signal processors (DSPs) from Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI).
On2's VP4 video compression technology is ideal for wide-scale Video-On-Demand deployments. VP4 achieves high video quality at low data rates, and combines with the fully programmable C62x and C64x DSPs from Texas Instruments to provide a flexible and high performance DSP solution for clients.
By successfully completing TI's compliance testing, the decode portion of VP4 is now available across the entire family of Texas Instruments' 6000 Series DSPs.
