Exactly. The way I see it, preventive checks and so forth may be beaten by a determined person. There must be an ultimate authority to every flight--one who retains full authority and power over where that plane goes. Because it is human to err, I believe that usage of dangerous weapons should be restricted to at least 2 of 3 people matching codes.

If it comes to that...a hole in the fuselage is really secondary. Once you get used to pretzels as a meal, a change in air pressure will surely feel like being fawned over...
