actually, the night that I had the octosquid was at a shabu shabu restaurant. (they were the appetizers). It was very good, though I prefer China's version which is spicier. The restaurant was in the convention center that is walking distance from Tokyo Station...the one with the funky boat frame architecture. All of my Asia guys smoke. They refrain from smoking in the office when I am in town.:-)
