What a cool thread! (Can't imagine how this idea came up but I love it.) I've become a grandmother four times in as many years. When my oldest daughter was married, her husband asked if I was ready to become a Nanny. I told him that I'd be ready to be a Nanny way before he was ready to become a Daddy! Now that I'm a member of the GIVE generation,life is so much easier. I can see so much clearer now and don't give (ooops!) a damn about all the useless trappings of my life. Holding a tiny hand while I walk on the beach means more than I could imagine. Now I'm ready to be honest about all the things I have politely responded to before. Wanna talk about sex, drugs and rock-n-roll? You can forget about being a grandmother or grandfather. This thread just needs honesty, an occasional purple hat and maybe a reference to a little munchkin every once in awhile! And no more harassing in the airport! We're ticked!!! Marie
