"If there were a huge gap between the two systems, it would be another matter. But any gap that once existed now lives on only in the demented souls of the brand zealots."

you can tell when a person doesn't know what they are talking about when they say that craftsman in other fields do not argue about their own different brands.... an example in the PC world would be believing that nonFirewire branded or equiped MP3 players are just as good as the Firewire equiped MP3 player..... just typical ignorance.... then they claim that someone is a zealot, because they know the difference..... but give the ignorant a break, only 5% of a given group or profession or craft usually know what in the world they are doing..... it is the way of nature...

usually those 95% are not a craftsmen in any profession and don't know that there are tools in other professions that are well branded and well respected....

typical of a kmart or Wintel mentality.... buy the cheapest... not the best....

where a craftsman buys the best tool from their favorite brand.... Wood craftsman are staunch supporters of their favorite brands.... the best craftsmen are usually branded as Zealots themselves.... it comes with the territory....

Don Green and the author of that article apparently think because they built a bird house with a Kmart hammer that they are now wood craftsmen, or typed a paper on a Wintel computer that they are PC craftsmen....

the seeds don't fall far from the tree indeed.... but look at it this way... without these people there would not be fodder for the truely creative to grow in.......

a good example.... a wintel user (rather than a craftsman) typically doesn't know what firewire is, let alone what it is used for.... but then claims his MP3 player is as good at doing MP3 computer functions as a Mac MP3 player..... same thing happened when the Mac came out, the Wintel users said, hey... we don't need a mouse to do the same thing..... these people still do the same thing, believing the gap finally closed, i remember them saying it after Windows 3.1 and Windows95 and 98 and 2000 and XP... yet they don't even have a clue as to what firewire is... or iTunes or iDVD or iTools and on and on and on.... typical of the moron who decided that the patent office should close because all innovations have already been done..... he would have made a fine wintel users..... then you'll hear under their breath, "my Yugo is as good as that "Mercedes"....whatever...

typical of the uninformed noncraftsman..... like the author of that article or Don Green.... he/she probably thinks his MP3 player is good enough..... a typical seed caught in a the rocks of his ignorance of the subject....

look at it this way, it is the way of nature.....
