You are so right about the influence of those books on our generation. I read all the Nancy Drews, and started writing my own feisty girl detective series when I was about 8. I even remember my star- Sunny Lee Eldridge. That was also my first penname-- I either was very enamored of the name, or I wasn't very creative. There was also CHERRY AMES, FEISTY NURSE and TRIXIE BELDEN, FEISTY TEENAGER.
