Telecommunication Products, Inc., Expects Mid July Launch Of It's Telpro Video On Demand Player

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 29, 2002-- Telecommunication Products, Inc (OTCBB:TCPD)--a technological development company -today announced that their Telpro Player, an internet-based, video-on-demand player, is now ready for production and licensing.

"Our strategic plan is now to aggressively license our player as a co-brand, turnkey solution for video, film and other content providers," stated Robert Russell, Chief Executive Officer of Telpro. He further added that "we are in licensing discussions with many large entertainment organizations. The minimal bandwidth requirements of the Telpro Player are one of many components that make co-branded licensing very attractive to entertainment companies. Even more attractive to potential licensees is our 128 encryption and decryption process which we believe make it virtually impossible to illegally reproduce, record, or forward any video that is downloaded or played through the Telpro Player."

"The Telpro video-on-demand player meets and even surpasses the ever-increasing quality demands of those who watch video via the internet. The company's engineers have developed technology that exceeds the speed of other video players, far surpassing the quality of current online video-on-demand products. Incomparable compression algorithms, enabled by Telpro's proprietary codecs technology, ensure that video or film downloads are achieved with never-before-seen density, thus minimizing bandwidth requirements and loss of quality", stated Dr. Igor Loginov, Chief Technical Officer of Telpro.

The potential market for video-on-demand is $9 Billion, or $1 Billion more than the entire market for video rentals in 1998, according to Dataquest. "We believe Telpro is at the forefront of the fastest growing market on the Internet. The Company can provide the latest in technology for online entertainment, focusing on the delivery and distribution of video content in an on-demand, pay-per-view basis. As in all situations, there are trends and one of the most demanded trends in technology today, we believe, is web-service based systems to augment service offerings. We have integrated such a system that is both user-friendly and extremely accurate." Mr. Russell adding "that the web-service based offering includes a comprehensive library, accounting, tracking, and billing system".

Some of the Telpro Player highlights include:

- Traditional VCR or DVD player functions - stop, play,

fast-forward, pause, rewind, and attributes that include

full-screen, hide screen, and volume;

- Consistent viewing quality, regardless of the end user's

Internet connection;

- Telpro video-on-demand library;

- Secure video-on-demand account with customizable settings; and

- Ability to provide friends and family clips of films, or to

prepay films to forward as gifts.

The video-on-demand player can provide licensees with a high-quality player with which to view their selection of products. Companies that license the Telpro Player are expected to pay a licensing fee, a "per-view" transaction fee, and a handling fee for the delivery of the films.
