First off, Mary, thank you for answering a very difficult question. Regarding your response:

>>>party: bin laden bragged about crimes on video.

Fair enough.

However, if you recall, the recent video on the Internet supposedly showing Daniel Pearl being murdered is now alleged a doctored video. Reliable scrutiny, a determination, if you will, as to whether the video is doctored or it isn't, can only ultimately be determined in the court. Thus, the presumption of innocence remains in effect, as terrible as it sounds, even with Bin Laden.

>>>I don't see any video where tony brags about knowing about 911 ahead of time. Big difference here. If I saw a video of Tony bragging about all these crimes, I would say "send him to jail instantly."<<<

Ah-hah, your standard has stiffened--lol!

>>>Would Lebanon hand over Bin Laden? Because of the gravity of the charges againt Bin Laden and the fact that Bin Laden bragged about the crime, I personally think they would.<<<

I don't share that opinion. I believe the Lebanon link I presented in my response to you shows that Syrian-controlled Lebanon might not hand him over, perhaps that nation might instead insist, like it has before, that he be tried in a Lebanonese jurisdiction. And had Elgindy successfully fled into Lebanon, I think it'd be the same.

>>>I doubt they'd want a bunch of nations going to their country to try and get him. Would be messy.<<<

I think were Western led nations to move into Lebanon, therefore Syria, it'd become an action which would have the effect of Muslim unification in a way the rest of the world would not want to see. As I understand it, presently there's very strong Muslim opinion which doesn't yet acknowledge what really happened on 9/11, how it happened or who really did it.

Bottom line? Elgindy is innocent until proven guilty. But this does not mean the door should have remained open for him to flee into a nation with a practice of non-extradition with the U.S. Agree?
