...whatever means, 100% honest or not, the government had to use to keep him in the country was worth it? Obviously if he fled it would mean that he was probably guilty of something and would be found guilty anyway. Then his family in the US would be in a big jam and he could never travel to US friendly nations for the rest of his life and he'd lose everything he has here, probably never see his family again. This would be as bad as being in prison. Justice served?

I've always posted that if he's guilty, he should pay for his crimes.
