Chritianity is in essence, a very monastic teaching , of giving up the things of the world and becoming unnattached of desire and ego , and being "married" to the spirit etc etc. You do not have an understanding of Christianity. You do not give up desire and ego. Your desire and ego are transformed by the Spirit of God. Being "married" to the Spirit means that your desires have been altered by God and you no longer desire the momentary things of the world, but you long for the things of God. When you submit to Christ, He changes you. That is the perennial difference between Christianity and any religion or belief where man must work to achieve salvation. Christ does the work. All man does is receive. We receive by faith. Humble yourself before Christ and He will change you as well Mars.
