Every damn parasite in Washington has their hand out, their clipboards ready, and their CNN spokesperson yakking about how they really need to shove their hands further into the taxpayer pocket, or we'll all (pick one):(a) die, (b)be guilty of causing other deaths (Neocon's favorite excuse), (c)be unfair to business or others, (d) not be consistent, because we supported X for years already (another Neo excuse, not to pick on him, he's just the most typical), (e)fail to kill Y and Z
On the liberal side, it's a series of actually conservative measures like air, water, and environment, which are reversed in common poli-talk to be "liberal", and therefore a sign of weakness.
Give me conservatives who preserve the environment, bloodthirsty right-wingers to stand guard at the borders and be block captains, new-age liberals who set up incredibly thorough internetworked auditing programs to follow every dollar and every result of every politician and lobbyist, and radical conspiracy theorists who question every connection, abound in speculation, and keep all the power elite on their toes making sure their crimes are far enough in the closet so as not to damage the economy too much. |
