flight risk comments

He has dual citizenship so the dual passport issue isn't that relevant. If I wanted to visit the middle east nowadays, I probably would prefer a non-US one myself if it were possible.

Of course his accounts are in Canada. He shorts otcbb pennies which you can't short from here. This is not illegal and in the normal course of business. He also had accounts here. Canada and the US work together on securities issues. They are a friendly nation. Supposedly they already have his Canadian trading records.

He could do his business anywhere as can any professional investor. So?

Was he a flight risk? I personally don't believe so because if he knew about the investigation ahead of time, he could have left then. Why wait til after he gets arrested when he can leave before? If he knew about the possible seizure, he could have mortgaged his properties, transferred or sold them if he knew since October.

Again, if he's guilty, he's guilty. If he's not, then it's a travesty of justice. time will tell.
