What? Took them 10 years to "really beat" the Alpha? Alpha has been under active development for years and will continue for several years to come. For those who failed to notice, Itanium2 posts astonishing Floating Point scores. Destroying everything else on earth including Power4. Intel now owns every SPEC performance crown. Integer for the P4 and FP for Itanium. AMD is... well, AMD is "confident". EP
