Hi Carolyn, I just found this thread today. I fell asleep last night reading the first part of a biography of Hegel. He was born in 1770 in Prussia and his philosophic themes influenced much of the development that occurred in Europe later in the 19th and 20th century. Karl Marx latched on to some of his stuff for some unexplainable reason. John
