Keeping Le Pen and Haider out of office is the easy part... The real challenge will be to keep their xenophobic agendas out of office as well! Europe's far-right leaders don't need to run the show, all they need is to exert enough pressure on mainstream politicos from the sidelines. That way, little by little, they can instil their ideas into conservative policymakers. A case in point of such a pervasion tactics happened in Belgium two months ago: non-EU immigrants' right to vote (at the municipal level) was ruled out by the government on the grounds that it might favor Flanders' far-right Vlaams Blok in the next polls... But hey, don't ask the same Belgian politicos about the Palestinian "terrorist" who's been granted asylum in Belgium -and how it'll likely be grist to the VB mill.
