I can't imagine they are just loaning out money to construction partnerships. Still, now that you mention it, it is curious. Maybe they're going into the banking business? Might be more rewarding than the biotech business. Another though I had is that if 5 out of five brokerage firms (ist it 5 or 4?) are giving LGND their highest rating, they must also know something about their financial situation. That's the first thing these guys check out.
