DD: Thank you for that URL. I recall reading that, on average,
something less than 15% of government and private sector entities
have prepared themselves for the A.D. 2000 problem.

That being said, I never despair of the ingenuity of the American mind.
It's difficult to believe that major corporations would allow themselves
to sink like the Lusitania because of a computer glitch. On the other
hand, should the A.D. 2000 problem cause the unraveling of govern-
ment operations, how many crocodile tears might more than a few
Americans shed for so lamentable a circumstance?
