ZoneAlarm is the exception" i'd count steve gibson's security site ( grc.com ) and all of the free utilities that he provides us with as another notable exception. i currently use and/or rely upon his... UnPlug n' Pray ShieldsUP! & LeakTest i loved OptOut (now defunct, i believe) and i used to run Trouble In Paradise freeware on my iomega jaz disks when i was using them frequently. gibson's discussion forums are also terrific sources of security info. :)
