Zeev,

FYI, most former African Muslims in the south of Sudan have converted to Christianity, as a matter of defiance to the central Government. That's where they came from. Also these countries have nothing against Arab Muslims, as long as they are not fomenting murder and rebellion, undermining local governments and selling Africans into slavery- live and let live, side-by-side in peace. Bashir and the NIF has upset that traditional rule in East Africa- sort of like Idi Amin did in Uganda about 20 years ago.... . Yes this time around things are different because the SPLA has more support; financial, logistical, and military support. Wherefrom? From a number of sources. Ask yourself who is the dynamo in east Africa.

In any case this time the SPLA has a chance to succeed- so that's what make Arakis an "iffy" investment....

Sincerely,

Doug F.

P.S. Take a break from politics and oil, and check out APM. If you want to see a good "short dqueeze" developing check out the APM Thread....
