guess is that the final Banias will be a lot faster than whatever Anand saw, but still way lower clock frequency than the competition.

Remember - when Intel's CPUs blew past the frequency of the Athlon, MHz (frequency) suddenly wasn't important.
Right?

All the AMD fan boys said so.
Jerry Sanders began to say it - since he couldn't claim the fastest frequency CPUs anymore.
So you and the AMD fan boys adopted the "performance is what counts" mantra.

So let us just suppose that Banias can offer superb performance at lower clock frequency.
You AMD fan boys should love it - embrace it - praise it to the moon - right?
It will follow in the slipping footsteps of Athlon - won't it?
You can't have it both ways, John - can you?
