A few points:

1) I agree with the issue of perceptions of NT. However, perception is often the main influencing factor in determining the worth of a company. Else, there would be a formula for determing the stock price.

2) Survivability. For a company to survive, it must do more than remain in business. It must have some path to positive cash flow and profits. Remember, stock prices are based on theoretical dividend returns. NT must show that it can not only keep the doors open, but that it can continue to hold and grow its market position. If they can't, then they're dead, just that no one yet buried the body.

3) Buyouts. I believe that, in this market environment, a buyout of NT would be below (possibly well below) the current price. No one would want to buy NT right now at above market prices, considering the stench associated with the name. I'm not saying that stench is deserved, but it is there, nonetheless. Call it the rotting of Roth's legacy.

I don't know why the negative NT posters come around to continue to simply knock NT, and not offer any insight or value (note: I definitely do NOT count rob v amongst them, as he has offered sound advice that turned out to be true while not simply bashing). Some people like to dance on graves; maybe they like to ridicule other investors because they're wives thrash them within inches of their lives...don't know.

I had the opportunity to meet a number of people at NT while I briefly worked there as part of the Clarify acquisition. They seemed to be hard working, honest people, although strangers to SV. Although I'm sure many are gone, I hope the remaining ones are able to bring their company back from the edge.
