semperfijarhead,

I believe Fiero was one of Tony's mentors.

I wasn't aware of that, though it wouldn't be surprising given that the Fiero Bros. (along with Asensio) were/are once among the premier shorts in the world.

Did Elgindy extort shares from CDDD and this is why the coverage was terminated?

I would very much doubt it, as this particular dubious investment opportunity was long before the time frames alleged in the Fed's charges against Tony. But I guess it's at least in the realm of possibility, though far from the realm of probability in my opinion.

Did Elgindy 'get' the warning from the execution of Chalem?

I doubt this as well. Tony had a "need" to be center-stage on everything, and I think that he merely knew Chalem from earlier years and saw an opportunity for a wee bit of exaggeration. Just enough truth to make his claims possible, and certainly exciting...

How paranoid was Elgindy on those chat logs about CDDD....

Probably not a lick... The "old" Tony exuded confidence and arrogance far beyond what most people possess. The "old" Tony did his DD, and did it well. Granted, he likely had many helpers in the research efforts, people who were subscribers to his web site, and assisted in the work as well as the rewards. But for the most part, it was the brash Tony that publicized that collective effort, and placed his "John Hancock" at the bottom.

Notice that Lehmann had plead guilty to mail fraud charges in reference to an insurance scheme. Sound familiar?

Pure coincidental wording... Lehmann was allegedly involved in the arson of a failing business he invested in. Blue Bell something or other... I forget the details now. Tony's insurance mishap was much simpler and less clear cut, but nonetheless criminal.
