Mike... the entire tax system needs badly to be overhauled. I'm not convinced that the answer is simply a higher corporate tax rate, however. IMO, the best solution is a consumption tax, combined with the repeal of the personal income tax. Not only would this encourage investment and saving contra consumption, but it would have the additional benefit of not threatening individual privacy to the extent that the personal income tax does. I'm sure that the government will find other ways to threaten our privacy, though. -ng-
