OTOT Fair enough. But, unless the "foreigners" have sufficient confidence in their own markets, the degree of repatriation will not be (and has not been) the equal of what has been predicted lo these many years (Roche, BBiggs and others)--not to say it won't now, though.

As to hedging (indeed, a function of the very derivatives of which you speak), true too, but I would guess that the sophisticated, program-driven hedging algorithms self-adjust as each currency falls in and out of a designated channel. Analogous, in a way, to the difference in approach taken by Newmont and Barrick.
