I sort of have a fondness for the intelligence agencies. There is/was a good amount of accountability and checks of the intelligence agencies after Watergate. Understandably, since Nixon used them extensively along with the IRS against his 'enemies'; otherwise known as the American people. It was codified in the FISA and there was a good deal of monitoring that occurred to ensure that the FISA was very strictly adhered to. I have to use 'is/was' because there were changes to the FISA under the Patriot Act that blurred the lines. jttmab
