"Marcos, aren't you one of the few that was on the contrary side on the Bre-X
thread. ( From Day One). The contrary personality that welcolmed Jumandi...."

Not so, Chuca, I was a Bre-X long, and am still holding Bresea shares. I may have posted to Junaidi (don't remember now) but it would have been on a specific point. He, like Bill Jackson, brought considerable technical knowledge and courteous manners to the thread. We were on opposite sides of the fence with respect to the long/short question, but very much on the same side in promoting intelligent discussion on this forum. There were people on my side attacking the personalities and motivations of the bears, for instance ole 49r who at least injected some humour into the thread, but whose posts made me not a little embarrassed for my position as her ally. There were other, more disgusting approaches, for instance mikesloan, whose constant flaming wasted both bandwidth and the time of those of us who scanned the thread for information. It was no great surprise that he was later found to be a Bre-X insider.

Chuck, my position regarding the desert dirts is that they are at best honest efforts based on faulty scientific reasoning, and at the worst scams. It is not a strongly held position, however, because truth told, I really don't much care.

My position regarding the way we posters use this forum is far stronger. Less than a year ago, I bought a computer and began lurking, and then posting to, SI. From this experience, it seems clear that this ability to discuss stocks is changing the investment world, for the better in most cases imho. Already strength is growing among shareholders to resist the worst of the abuses of power by management (check out the Winspear thread). Each poster raises or lowers the level of knowledge and/or common sense present here. I believe Bill Jackson raises the level considerably.

I have read a few of your posts in the past, and a few today. You bring considerable humour, defend your stock ably, and supply quality insight for the most part. It is regrettable, imho, that you have chosen to participate in the recent shitthrowing at Bill Jackson. I will look forward to your posts in the future as I don't believe your style has permanently changed.

Bill Jackson a shorter or paid accomplice of a shorter? I very much doubt it, but would be interested in any hard evidence that would back up the charge. It is my strongly held conviction that he is an SI addict just like you and me and many others here, and that what he finds most important is a defendable credibility in his contributions here.

You know, Chuck, I'd like to see IPM shock the world with a happy story, imho the resulting euphoria would lift the whole resource sector. Lord knows we need a success. Good luck.
