TGPTNDR, Re: "Who do you consider to be the top 4?"

IBM, HPQ, Dell, and Sun.

Re: "Do you think it's now 3 out of 4 down from 4 out of 4 last month?"

No. Sun has never committed to using Itanium.

Re: "I gave you over or under on volume sales of Itanic II for 200K/year. You wouldn't answer. And now you're trying to posture Itanic II as a Hammer contender?"

Absolutely. Hammer doesn't stand nearly as much of a chance in the 4-way and greater market than Itanium 2 does. Also, I was not the only one who didn't answer the 200k "loaded" trick-question. You also had a tough time before you admitted that you believed 200k to be the minimum required for success, even though PT found out that 200K is 20% of Sun's entire business. Gee, I think Intel would be rather happy to have 20% of Sun's business by the end of the year. Don't you, or do you think that gaining only 19% of Sun's market would make Itanium 2 a failure?

Re: "Hammers are coming onto the desktop."

So? Since when were we talking about the desktop market? Try to keep up. TIA.
